Education is in large part the foundation on which our culture is built and should be the lynchpin for brilliance, optimism and new thinking.
Sadly we do not see great changes in education due to different factors, the negative attitude of the teacher towards the student, the very low or very high expectations of the parents with the student, even when they know that those expectations are not real. The overprotective attitude of parents, teachers or peers. The open or covert rejection of personnel of the educational institution and the harassment or rejection of peers. Of all the obstacles, the biggest is the lack of motivation. Lack of motivation is a major barrier to student learning, and without the desire to achieve, students often end up doing the minimal amount of work in school, enough to get by but not enough to succeed and really improve the learning.
In my workplace, we are being affected by these factors. Many innovative ideas by several employees, but they always find objections such as: that's a lot of work, it's not necessary, it won't work and the sad thing is that many times they go to their superiors and they agree without even trying to get results.
We have to break stereotypes and have a growth mindset in order to help our students and break the chain of years. If we make our school and curriculum more interesting and innovative, surely our students will be more motivated and their minds will change to a more positive one, eager to innovate and dare to try new things.
