Contributions to my Learning Community (Courses EDLD 5303 & 5313)

Updated: Nov 30, 2023

For many people, working as a team can be a source of great stress in their lives. In my case, working as a team has been something of a great blessing to my life since I have the opportunity to share my feelings and experiences through this journey. Additionally, I can contribute my grain of sand to my collaboration team. It's not just about sharing, but about working as a team so that we can all achieve success. Each one has a different vision and by putting all the visions and experiences together we can reach a final decision in favor of everyone.

In EDLD 5303 and 5313 classes, I have had the blessing of continuing to share with the same classmates that together we began this journey in the month of August 2023. Our ties of collaboration and camaraderie have been greatly strengthened. We have become colleagues and friends, which helps make collaboration more effective. Each one knows the rhythm of life and commitments of the other and thanks to this we can help each other and organize ourselves. Thanks to this relationship that we have built, we can accept criticism and suggestions in a positive way and this helps us to continue evolving for the better. This has been of great help at an educational and personal level and I treasure the experiences lived with my team. If you want to know more about the members of my team, I invite you to visit the Collaborative Team area and you can obtain more in-depth information about each of them and visit their ePortfolios.

Next, I will present my self-assessment and contributions to my learning and the collaborative community.

Applying Educ Tech: Portfolio (EDLD 5305) ------------------------------------------------95/100

Creating a Meaningful Learning Environment (EDLD 5313) ------------------------------90/100

In this self-assessment, I gave myself this score because although I understand and acknowledge that I had some problems regarding APA citations, I was able to fix all the errors and be successful. I participated in meetings, delivered my work on time and I have always been in collaboration with my team.

In my team, we all take on the task of sharing and completing assigned work. We have a chat where we share information and tasks so that we can all give feedback before they are delivered and make sure that we are all on the same page. We also keep a calendar to know the dates on which we must deliver the work. Each one knows what is the weak area and the strong area of each one and for this reason, we know in which area we can help. We coordinate our meetings via Zoom or video call, many times before the weekly meetings to clarify doubts and questions.

In order to contribute to our group I had to read the assigned readings, the recommended videos, and books. We do this so that in our meetings we can share the knowledge acquired and bring up any doubts or questions. All my assignments and activities were delivered on time. I attended most of the Zoom classes scheduled on Mondays at 7:30 p.m. and Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m. On our team, we are all leaders. Each one has its role and area of strength.

In the meetings, I actively participated by sharing my experiences and doubts. After the weekly meetings, in our chat we shared opinions and feedback on what was discussed in class and coordinated our study agenda. I exchanged emails with the teachers to clarify doubts and improve my work. I also had the opportunity to have a one-on-one with my teacher where I was able to clarify doubts about the APA Standards and the development of my tasks, which was of great benefit in subsequent tasks.
