Building my ePortfolio, a powerful tool

Updated: Oct 29, 2023

When I started on my ADL journey, I had no idea what an ePortfolio was. I took on the task of searching for information, videos and everything that could help me have a clearer vision of what it was.

After having a clearer vision, I took on the task of finding which platforms were appropriate according to my needs. I decided that the WIX platform was the one that met my needs and began my journey.

I made several improvements since then and continued in the process of continuing to improve. I started using Google Doc to do my homework and then I changed everything and integrated it into the ePortfolio, including my Innovation Plan, Growth Mindset Plan and Learning Manifesto.

It has different pages so the visitors to my ePortfolio can easily navigate and find what they are looking for. My work is organized and this helps emphasize my acquired skills and achievements.

It has images that help and give the visitor an idea of what they will find. These images also serve to make the content more eye-catching. Adding images provides a richer experience for visitors.

My website mainly publishes articles and works related to my journey at ADL. It has basic sections and personalized blogs.

Why I decide to use WIX:

You can start from scratch with a blank template or open any template created by a designer in the WIX Editor. Drag and drop technology is used to add elements (e.g. images, texts, contact forms, etc.) and place them wherever you want on your site.

Typically, the cost of creating and maintaining a website with a professional programmer would cost hundreds or thousands of dollars. WIX was designed so that anyone with a computer can create their own website for free. This is of great benefit to the student.

With each passing day I improve my ePortfolio so that I can turn it into a professional and easy-to-use presentation showing my skills and achievements. I chose to use WIX to develop my electronic portfolio because it is convenient, easy to use and does not have a great financial impact on the student.
