Contribution to My Learningandthe Learning Community(5315 & 5320)

Reflecting on my contributions and those of my peers in courses 5315 and 5320, it becomes evident that fostering a cooperative group dynamic is paramount and has been crucial throughout this journey from start to finish. Collaborative learning not only promotes personal growth but also significantly impacts academic outcomes. In both courses, I wholeheartedly dedicated myself to following instructions and recommendations while actively interacting with my peers.

Course 5315: Assessment of Digital Learning and Instruction

​

In course 5315, I had the opportunity to conduct research on "Teaching STEM using Makerspace in Elementary School," particularly with fifth-grade students. This was complemented by an exhaustive literature review and an action research plan. The mixed methods approach used in the research ensures a robust analysis of how this model supports the diverse needs of students and the components of STEM. My participation in the course activities has been active within my capabilities. I engaged with all required readings, videos, and resources, meeting deadlines and contributing significantly to course discussions. I collaborated with my classmates, especially with my cooperative group members: William Tavarez, Luz Uribe, and Ileana Cabrera.

Course 5320: Synthesis of Digital Learning and Leadership

​

The COVA approach has been key in the creation and implementation of my innovative project "Teaching STEM using Makerspace in Elementary School." Reflecting on my journey in ADL, I can see that all components have been essential. The course highlights both the challenges and achievements obtained throughout this journey. Sharing this experience with different peers and colleagues has been very helpful, as their feedback has allowed me to improve and refine my innovation plan. Collaboration with my group members William Tavarez, Luz Uribe, and Illeana Cabrera has been a great blessing and has contributed to the success of this journey.

I understand that the ePortfolio, in general, has room for continued improvement and refinement as we continue to shape the program's implementation.

Conclusion

​

In conclusion, the courses 5315 and 5320 have been instrumental in my professional and personal development. These courses have equipped me with the skills and knowledge necessary to implement innovative educational strategies and foster a cooperative learning environment. The experiences and collaborations throughout these courses have underscored the importance of teamwork, continuous learning, and adaptability. The rigorous coursework, coupled with the support from my peers, has enabled me to develop a comprehensive understanding of effective teaching methods and digital learning assessment.

A score of 92/100 is a fair reflection of my efforts and contributions, showcasing my dedication to enhancing both my students' learning experiences and my own professional growth. I have consistently demonstrated commitment by meeting deadlines, participating actively in discussions, and engaging deeply with course materials. The practical application of theories, like Sinek's Golden Circle and the COVA approach, has solidified my understanding and prepared me to be an agent of change in education.

My goal is to continue fostering a love for STEM in elementary students through makerspace initiatives, leveraging the latest trends in e-learning to create engaging and effective educational experiences.
